Bonnie Costas
Born in Manhattan and periodically living in the Greater Hudson Valley since 1966. Before Bonnie started her career in insurance, she was in a band in the 70’s as a guitar player!
Beginning her work in insurance in 1990 and becoming licensed in 1991, Bonnie officially made the Hudson Valley home, raising her family amongst its beautiful backdrop and vibrant culture.
She worked in Dutchess County for several years, and thereafter took a management position in Orange County in 2001, staying until 2010 when she and Melissa made the decision to open Costas & Tate Insurance Agency.
She has been co-owner of Costas & Tate Insurance Agency from October 1, 2010 to present.

Melissa Garcia
Melissa Garcia (formerly Costas) is a New Paltz native, living locally with her husband and two dogs. She obtained her property and casualty insurance license in 2010, with her work in insurance beginning as an administrator several years prior.
Melissa’s inspiration behind Costas and Tate stemmed from her passion to bring the local community excellent customer service while educating them on insurance products, allowing clients the opportunity to make an informed decision on their policies.
Melissa’s key to success is being detail oriented and honest. She enjoys having in-depth conversations with her clients to get a better understanding of their insurance needs so she can help protect them and their investments.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys skiing, walking her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

Valerie Luedeke
Valerie’s work in insurance began in 1975 with the well known, Nationwide Insurance Company.
After her time at Nationwide and an additional agency for several years, Valerie focused on obtaining her license, and worked as a CSR and office manager for 25 years.
Valerie found a home in Costas & Tate Insurance Agency in 2013, and has worked with Bonnie and Melissa ever since.
Valerie is a New Paltz native and loves gardening in her spare time. She also holds a special place in her heart for animals and is passionate about helping them find homes.
